Took my 23 explorer in around lunch for inspection. Got me right in (scheduled appt). After 20 mins, i never heard an impact go off. With it being a newer vehicle i didn?t suspect much. Then a mechanic came out. Talked to the other behind the computer, but made sure to turn his back so i couldn?t hear. Then after a minute, the man behind the computer got up and walked in the bay. I got up as well. Looked through the window as he took a lap around my car. Not bending over once. Just walked around. Touched each tire. However long it takes to walk around the car is how long it took him. Then he came in and said i need tires. I disagreed. But I?m no expert. I walked back and felt every tire. All but one seemed fine. All but one would have passed. That one probably would have passed at any other shop. It was on the edge of a judgement. I confronted him and said so all but one tire means i need new tires? I said no thank you. The lease is up in a month im not doing that. I paid my $21 bill and scheduled another garage. I noticed the bill when i got home. Said ?removed front left tire? and they didn?t. The dirt from the road had still been caked on there. Not a finger print in site. I don?t see myself going further into this bc it?s more a waste of time and $21. fail me if it needs to. But Other than plugging it in and popping the hood there was no inspection done on my wife?s vehicle. typing up a false invoice and trying to convince me from the beginning i need 4 tires is the scummiest thing ive ever seen.....
